From Hobart (TFL), Selection 10, 1991 National Draft

Number: 37 1991-1997

After winning a TFL premiership with the all conquering 1990 Hobart side, Lamprill joined the Demons the next year as the number 10 selection in an otherwise uninspiring national draft.

After kicking a sensational goal with his first kick in league football he suffered an ankle injury which ended his debut season after four games, then struggled for a game in a good side, playing just ten games in his first three seasons. As the side fell out of finals contention over the next two years Lamprill played the bulk of his footy and racked up 23 games between 1995 and 1996. In his last season he played just three games, consecutively from round 19 onwards before breaking his collarbone in Round 21 He was delisted at the end of the season.

Lamprill captain-coached Vermont in the Eastern Football League during the early 2000's, and returned to Tasmania in 2006 as senior coach of Hobart, who he led to finals appearances every year thereafter.
